Mideast Regionals

It was a great day at the Mideast Regionals at WakeMed Soccer Park for Green Hope - The Girls team won the school's 3rd Regional title, while the boys team placed 2nd as each team qualified for next weekend's state meet.
The Girls were led by Jessica Rossabi's 2nd place performance. Jessica and Sarah Alexander were named to the Girls' All-Region team.
Zak Roshdy led the boys, finishing 7th in a PR 16:05. Zak and Doug Black were named to the Boys' All-Region team.
The NCHSAA 4A State Meet will be held next Saturday, November 1st at Tanglewood Park in Clemmons. The 4A Boys race is at 10:00, and the 4A Girls race is at 11:00. Let's get as many Green Hope supporters as possible out to Tanglewood to cheer on the teams!

Adidas Wolfpack Invitational / Hagan Stone Relays

Congratulations to the runners who raced at the Wolfpack Invitational and the Hagan Stone Relays. The Wolfpack race was huge with a loaded field of good teams. The boys team managed to win the top race over 32 other teams, beating Broughton 100-105. The girls finished 3rd, beating top teams Cardinal Gibbons, Chapel Hill and others, but losing to 2nd place East Chapel Hill by 3 points in a very close race (1st place went to Mountain Brook, from Alabama - ranked 4th in the nation).
Our two teams were led by Bryan Spreitzer's 16:07 and 3rd place finish, and Jessie Rossabi's 19:38 and 12th place finish.
At the Hagan Stone 5x2500 relays, the Falcons girls team managed to place 4th, and the top Falcons boys team managed a 9th place finish.

Falcons Sweep Providence Invitational

With 24 teams attending the Providence Invitational, both varsity teams and both JV teams easily won their races as Green Hope swept all the team titles and brought 4 trophies home. Zak Roshdy and Steven Carroll won their individual races and the JV Boys finished with a very low score of 19 points. The closest margin of victory in any race was 29 points.
